Creditor finds debtor with gunshot wound in head
A WOMAN’S death was discovered by a debt collector who went to the latter’s house apparently to collect the money she borrowed from her on Sunday night in Quezon City.
The victim died from a gunshot wound in the head.
A report from the Crime Investigation Section of the QCPD showed the incident happened at around 6 p.m. of May 9, 2021 at the 2nd floor of the rented house of the victim located in Brgy Bahay Toro, Quezon City.
Investigation showed a neighbor of the victim identified as Ailah Arellano went to the victim’s house allegedly to collect payment for the latter’s debt.
However, Arellano was about to knock on the door when she noticed that it was already open.
She then saw the victim slumped bloodied at the pavement in the living room.
Arellano immediately sought help from other neighbors and reported the incident to the officials of Brgy. Bahay Toro.
Another neighbor of the victim told the police that prior to the incident, he was watching TV inside his house when he heard a lone gunshot emanating nearby, he however ignored it.
SOCO team processed the crime scene and collected one deformed fired bullet. Cursory examination conducted on the victim’s cadaver, showed that she sustained lone gunshot wound on her head.
