Contractor wanted for ‘murder’ falls in Kawit
A MOST wanted suspect charged with “murder” was nabbed by joint authorities after being caught with a gun and ammunition during the implementation of a search warrant in Barangay San Sebastian, Kawit, Cavite Tuesday.
Ibaan Municipal Police Station (MPS) chief Maj. Aldrin Rivas Atienza said the accused, a 47-year-old contractor, was a resident of Ibaan, Batangas.
Personnel of Ibaan town police and Batangas Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Regional Intelligence Unit-Provincial Intelligence Team (RIU-PIT) Cavite served the warrant of arrest to the suspect.
The arrest warrant for murder dated August 19, 2022, was issued by Presiding Judge Rose Marie Manalang Austria of the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 87 of Rosario, Batangas, with no bail recommended.
Police recovered from the accused one unit of HS cal. 40 with one inserted magazine, ten ammo, and four cellphones.
He is now detained at Ibaan MPS locked-up cell for proper disposition.
