Cavite Vice Gov. Athena outlines ‘State of the Children Address’

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – The provincial government here delivered the “State of the Children Address” by Vice Governor Athena Tolentino on the status of child welfare programs Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Barangay De Ocampo covered court.

Tolentino, representing Governor Jonvic Remulla, spoke before hundreds of children and parents who attended the program with this year’s theme, “Kalusugan, Kaisipan at Kapakanan ng Bawat Kabataan Ating Tutukan.”

“The Provincial Government of Cavite always aims to promote the holistic development of the children and guarantee them a government and a community which advances their health, safety, and development,” Tolentino said in her address.

The vice governor congratulated the nine cities and municipalities included in the “Top 40 LGUs (local government units),” who received the “Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance” like Tagaytay City, Carmona, Magallanes, Bacoor City, Rosario, Maragondon, Imus City, Naic, and Mendez.

Also joining the Children’s Month celebration in the province are Cavite 1st District Board Member Romel Enriquez, Provincial Administrator Alvin S. Mojica, Provincial Social Welfare Development, LGU representatives, and PCPC (Provincial Council for the Protection of Children) members.
