KAMPO HENERAL PACIANO RIZAL, Sta. Cruz, Laguna – Deputy of Directorate for Research and Development and task force commander of “Bantay Bihis” Police Brigadier General Robert T. Gallardo made a field visit to Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) on Wednesday.

“We are here to remind our personnel on the ‘tamang bihis’ where we should adhere to. We should not wear a uniform that does not follow the standards approved by the Napolcom. Adhering to ‘tamang bihis’ is discipline; thus, we should,” Gallardo said in his “talk to men”.

Likewise, ceremonial destruction of worn-out Philippine National Police (PNP) uniforms followed, wherein Gallardo demonstrated the standard procedure in discarding the old and faded PNP uniforms.

Also, to assess the readiness of the personnel and their adherence to the “tamang bihis”, a rank inspection of the Search and Rescue (SAR) uniform and paraphernalia of the personnel of the provincial headquarters and the newly appointed commissioned officers (NAPCOS) were held followed by a conference with the staff officers of Laguna PPO.

The focus group discussion (FGD) of police commissioned officers (PCOs), police non-commissioned officers (PNCOs), and non-uniformed personnel (NUPs) concluded the activity.

“We are in the process of upgrading and improving the uniform and to ensure quality uniforms of the PNP, which is why we hold focus group discussions for us to obtain the personnel’s suggestions and recommendations to serve as our reference in improving the standards of the PNP uniform,” Gallardo added.
