Atty. Lopez attends cleaning rite at Golden Mosque in Quiapo
ATTY. Alex Lopez went to the Golden Mosque and Cultural Center at Globo de Oro St., Quiapo, Manila this Thursday morning.
Atty. Lopez attended the traditional annual mosque cleaning ceremony in preparation for the Ramadan celebration this year beginning this Saturday, April 2 to May 2.
The Philippine Coast Guard also took part to spearhead the activity at the Grand Mosque and Atty. Alex joined them in the cleaning.
Also present is Senator Imee Marcos, the elder sister of Bongbong Marcos who is currently running for president of the Philippines, who visited the mosque and was warmly welcomed by the leaders of the Muslim Community. Lopez reminded that President Ferdinand Marcos was responsible for the construction of the Grand Mosque.
Our Muslim brothers and sisters are some of the vendors of Manila, and Atty. Alex will promote their rights and ensure that they will have a dignified job and livelihood.
Just last week, Atty. Alex Lopez, Raymond Bagatsing and representatives of our Manila Muslim Community signed an agreement in which they pledged to unite and bring good and inclusive government for the people of Manila.
