A SECOND DOSE OF #KASABIHANSAKAMALAYAN
As I earlier shared, since this column could not be with you on a daily basis due to my schedule and other apostolate, I decided a couple of months back to give on a regular basis in my social media accounts a day-to-day vignette of wisdom which I called #kasabihansakamalayan. The purpose of which is to give in “small doses” inspirational insights that could boost your day. Here now are the second round of those daily sayings that I got the most positive feedback:
In the midst of hate,
Be the source of love.
In the midst of indifference,
Be the source of compassion.
In the midst of fake news,
Be the source of truth.
In the midst of confusion,
Be the source of wisdom.
In the midst of social unrest,
Be the source of fortitude.
In the midst of despair,
Be the source of hope.
In the midst of temptation,
Be the source of faith.
Because in the midst of DARKNESS,
Be the source of LIGHT.
Asking God for wealth?
Well, He will give us opportunities to work and make a living.
Asking God for good health?
Well, He will give us healthy fruits and vegetables for us to eat.
Asking God for a happy family?
Well, He will give us the time in building memorable moments with them.
Asking God for a successful career?
Well, He will give you the skills and talents in doing your job effectively.
Asking God for a strong faith?
Well, He will give us Sundays & the Days of Obligation to be with him in prayer
Yes, God do answers prayer but not in shortcuts; and in ways that are best for us.
MONEY can buy you fancy meals,
but It cannot buy you good appetite & health.
MONEY can buy you an expensive house,
but it cannot buy you a loving home.
MONEY can buy you luxurious vacations,
but it cannot buy you peace of mind.
MONEY can buy you the comfiest bed,
but it cannot buy you restful sleep.
MONEY can buy you first-class service,
but it cannot buy you loyal friends.
MONEY can buy you the best education,
but it cannot buy you wisdom & knowledge.
MONEY can buy you designer clothes,
but it cannot buy you character.
MONEY can buy things you can donate,
but it cannot buy you salvation.
So, why can’t MONEY buy you everything?
It’s because the best things in life are FREE.
A POPULIST LEADER is motivated by power.
A SERVANT LEADER is motivated by service.
A POPULIST LEADER has followers.
A SERVANT LEADER has collaborators.
A POPULIST LEADER cultivates subservience.
A SERVANT LEADER ensures empowerment.
A POPULIST LEADER instills fear.
A SERVANT LEADER brings out smiles.
And a POPULIST LEADER is inspired only by ONESELF and One’s Selfish desires.
A SERVANT LEADER has Christ as his inspiration for Jesus is the model of SERVANT LEADERSHIP.
For Every End there is a Beginning.
For Every Storm there is a Rainbow.
For Every Winter there is a Summer.
For Every Challenge there is a Victory.
For Every Doubt there is an Enlightenment.
For Every Sunset there is a Sunrise.
For Every Fear there is Courage.
For Every Tear there is Hope.
And for Every Death there is Eternal Life.
