Silang elected officials sworn in
SILANG, Cavite – Ten elected officials here formally takes the oath of office before Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla and Supreme Court (SC) Associate Justice Mario Lopez, Saturday, June 25, 2022
The young and incoming Silang Mayor Atty. Kevin Anarna was sworn in before SC Associate Justice Lopez after attending a holy mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Luisito Gatdula, parish priest of the historic Nuestra Señora de Canladelaria.
Gov. Remulla administered the oath of office of Silang Vice Mayor-elect (Retired) Gen. Ted Carranza and eight elected councilors – Ari Velazco, Eric Garcia, John Carlo Madlangsacay, Luis Batinggal, Perpetua Desingano, Chester Amutan, Ivee Reyes, and Mark Anthony Toledo.
Boardmember-elect Marcus Amutan also took his oath of office to Remulla.
Gov. Remulla said, “Nakikita ko sa kanya [Silang Mayor Atty. Kevin Anarna] ang dedikasyon at hinihinging pagbabago sa Bayan ng Silang, hindi po kami magkakampi ni Kevin noong tumakbo siya ng 2019 at ngayong 2022.”
“Pero nitong 2022, isa lang ang sinabi ko sa kanya, Huwag kang magpapabili at aatras sa laban na ito… You have something to prove,” said Remulla.
“The future of Silang is very clear, I am sure that the leadership of Kevin Anarna will be down to the people of Silang for progress and renewal; Silang will be better in the hands of Kevin, asahan mo, kung ano man ang hilingin mo, ibibigay ko, Just work for the people of Silang, be kind to the people and love the people of Silang,” added Remulla.
