30 felons collared in Batangas anti-crime ops

CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – Up to 30 individuals were arrested in a single day of anti-criminality operations by the authorities, according to the report of Batangas PPO (Police Provincial Office) Provincial Director PCol. Glicerio C. Cansilao to PBGen. Antonio C. Yarra, Regional Director of PRO Calabarzon (Police Regional Office Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) the other day.

Cansilao said 13 wanted persons were arrested in the manhunt operations conducted by operatives of the Batangas City Police Station (PS), Sto. Tomas City PS, Lemery and Alitagtag PSs.

One most wanted person (MWP) at the provincial level and three MWPs at the city level were among those arrested.

Meanwhile, eight individuals involved in illicit drugs were jailed after police operatives of the Batangas City, Lipa City, Calatagan, and Mataas na Kahoy towns conducted buy-bust operations.

He said more or less 0.73 grams of shabu and some 20.6 grams of marijuana worth P15,936.00 were seized from the arrested suspects.

Nine were arrested in separate operations against illegal gambling by operatives of the Tanauan City, Rosario, and San Juan towns and seized worth P5,580 worth of betting equipment.

On the other hand, about five guns owners were turned over to the custody of the police under the OPLAN Katok and BALIK-Armas of the Batangas PPO.
