CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas — At least 267 individuals were arrested in a week-long Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) of the Batangas Police Provincial Office led by provincial director Col. Glicerio Cansilao from January 19, to January 25.

Provincial police PIO chief Lt. Pauline Pecaso Fernando said among those arrested were 37 wanted persons.

Nineteen of the arrested were most wanted persons, seven wanted in the regional level, four in the provincial level, and eight in the city and municipal level.

In 85 operations against illegal drugs, 100 drug suspects were arrested and some 91.19 grams of shabu and 7.32 grams of marijuana valued at approximately P620,969.60 were confiscated.

Of the 48 raids against illegal gambling, up to 122 people were arrested while eight individuals were caught for illegal possession of firearms.

Some 56 guns were turned over by gun owners for safekeeping while arranging the renewal of their licenses.

Cansilao, meanwhile, said the Batangas PPO will continue to conduct police-community relations activities, in collaboration with other local governments and stakeholders. These include the “Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan,” a collaboration with government agencies, as well as volunteers from the Global Coalition of Advocacy Support Groups and Force Multipliers.

The caravan aims to inform the public about the government’s programs, policies, accomplishments, and efforts to bring about real change to the lives of the Filipino people by showcasing real stories from the beneficiaries in their respective localities of the administration’s landmark policies and programs.
