9 nabbed in SPD anti-illegal drug ops
THE Southern Police District (SPD) reported the arrest of nine drug personalities in an anti-illegal drug operation in separate areas in the cities of Taguig, Pasay and Muntinlupa and in the municipality of Pateros on Thursday.
SPD Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said elements of the District Drug Enforcement Unit, under the supervision of District Intelligence Division chief P/Lt. Col. Reynante Galang, arrested couple Sesinando, 44, and Evelyn Nazario, 46, of Bgy. Ususan, Taguig City after they handed a plastic sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P500 marked money at around 9 p.m. in front of house No. 105 NP Cruz St., Bgy. Ususan.
Operatives seized from the couple 60 grams of shabu with standard drug price of P408,000, P500 marked money and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Earlier at 6 p.m., Alabang Police Sub-Station nabbed Lorenzo Benlot, 45, and Norman Mosqueda, 46, while in the act of engaging in illegal gambling known as cara y cruz along Ilaya St., Bgy. Alabang.
When frisked, the two yielded 0.3 grams of shabu worth P2,040, three pieces of coins used as flippers and P250 bet money.
At around 12:50 p.m. elements of Pasay Police Sub-Station 7 were conducting anti-criminality operation along Sta Rosa St., Bgy. 178, Maricaban when they chanced upon Belly Bongat, 49, while in possession of two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 0.39 grams of shabu valued at P2,380.
In Pateros, operatives of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) arrested Charlie Cresencio, 53, inside his house at 94-D F.C, Tuazon St., Bgy. Tabacalera which he allegedly utilized as drug den, in a drug sting operation.
When SDEU operatives swooped down Cresencio’s house, they arrested Erwin Nichol Soreta, 36, and Rhozano Guibao, 41, after they were caught in the act of sniffing shabu while Edison Tomas, 65, served as their lookout.
Police recovered from the suspects one gram of shabu worth P6,800, the P300 marked money and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.
“Amin pong ipinababatid sa ating mga kababayan na kami sa SPD ay patuloy na pinalalakas ang kampanya laban sa lahat ng uri ng krimen sa ating nasasakupan. Nakikiusap po ako sa ating mamamayan na huwag gumawa ng bagay na inyong pagsisisihan,” Macaraeg said.
