4 nabbed for illegal drag racing in QC
AUTHORITIES arrested four suspects allegedly involved in illegal drag racing in Quezon City.
The suspects, who are aged 19 to 27, were arrested at 4 a.m. of May 27, 2023 along Visayas Ave., Brgy., Project 6, Quezon City.
A report showed that a concerned citizen tipped off the QCPD PS 15 on the alleged on-going illegal drag racing activity along Visayas Ave., Brgy. Project 6, Quezon City.
Policemen immediately responded and upon arrival at the said place, they chanced upon the suspects on board their motorcycles and allegedly illegally engaged in a drag race that caused disturbance to the public and endanger the safety of other motorists.
Responding operatives to arrest the suspects and recovered a color red Kawasaki Barako and a color maroon Tricycle Kawasaki Barako from them.
The suspects will be charged with Alarms and Scandals in relation to R.A. 4136, City Ordinance SP 1013, and Resistance and Disobedience to an Agent of Person in Authority.
“I commend the PS 15 police officers for their quick response. This is a manifestation that we are doing great with our three-minute response time especially to telephone calls from our concerned citizens. Totoo ngang ang “Kyusi Pulis, Aksyon Mabilis”, QCPD Director PBGEN NICOLAS TORRE III said.
NCRPO Director PMGEN Edgar Alan Okubo lauded the QCPD Team for creating the 3-Minute Response Time, “ito ay malaking tulong para sa mabilis na pagresponde sa mga ganitong insidente”, he added.
