CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Three minors who were forced to work as “bar attendants” on Thursday were rescued, while two suspects were arrested in Angeles City.

Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 Director Brigadier Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said the two female suspects were both residents of Angeles City.

In a report to the Angeles City police, a mother of a 15-year-old victim who was later rescued reported that her daughter has been missing since March 20, and personnel of Police Station 4 immediately posted the photo at the station’s missing gallery.

A concerned citizen told police he saw the missing minor working at a bar establishment in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City.

Police agents escorted the parent, together with personnel from the local Business Permit and Licensing Division (BPLD) and the Angeles City Social Welfare and Development Office, to the bar and found the victim.

The victim told her mother about her ordeal prompting authorities to arrest the two suspects.

Hidalgo said the suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9208 as amended by RA 10364 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012 and violation of RA 7610.

“We are relentless in our pursuit to restrain traffickers and safeguard more children from the trauma caused by this crime,” Hidalgo said.
