3 Chinese nat’ls nabbed for kidnap

AUTHORITIES arrested three Chinese nationals who were accused of kidnapping their compatriots Saturday morning in Paranaque City.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said joint operatives of Investigation and Detective Management Section (IDMS) and Station Intelligence Section (SIS) of Pasay police, in coordination with Paranaque police raided the EMC Building located along Lt. Garcia St. Brgy. Baclaran, Paranaque City at around 9:20 a.m. following reports that Chinese national Lu Genshen, who was reportedly abducted last week, February 7, at Shore Residences in Pasay, was being illegally detained in the said building.

Operatives led by P/Maj. Ryan Salazar were surprised when they saw two other Chinese nationals, identified as Zhao Yinglong and Han Wei Ming, who were reportedly kidnapped last February 11 in Pasay City and Feb. 9, in Paranaque City respectively, were also illegally detained and handcuffed in the same room.

The three victims were rescued by policemen while the suspects, identified as Jiang Jialin 22, Wang Lei, 27 and Wu, Jin Ku, 24 years old, tattoo artist, were arrested during the raid and recovered from them five handcuffs being used to deprive victims of their liberty.

During investigation, authorities learned from the victims that they were also subjected to physical harm that inflicted injuries in their bodies.

With the recent spate of kidnappings involving Chinese nationals victimizing their compatriots, Macaraeg said that the SPD will strengthen its effort to track down and conduct focused investigation to shed light on what is behind the rising number of these kidnapping incidents.
