28 held for illegal tupada in Batangas

CAMP Gen. Miguel Malvar, Batangas — At least 28 individuals were arrested in separate raids against illegal gambling in a city and three towns Monday in Batangas.

In a report to Batangas police director Col. Rex Arvin T. Malimban by Sto Tomas City Police Station chief Lt. Col Armie S. Agbuya identified the arrested suspects as Ronald Rolloda, Arnold Medalla, Jobert De Lima, Bryan Libutan, and Marlon Nora.

Seized were two live fighting cocks, two gaffs, and cash.

In Laurel town, arrested were Willy Dayrit, Edgar Valencia, Genisis Castro, Rodel Digenio, Dexter Tenorio, Eric Malaluan, Leuby Tampos, Robert Artista, Cesar Malauan, Alvin Pawid, Ernesto Tenorio, and Reymark Araja in Bgy. Balakilong around 4:30 p.m. and confiscated fighting cocks, rooster cage, and cockfighting paraphernalia.

In Calatagan town, eight people were arrested by police for illegal gambling in Bgy. 1 and three in Bgy. Sabang, Tuy. Seized were bet money, fighting cocks, and gaffs.
