26 held for coercion, trespassing in Greater Fairview

THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested 26 individuals, including ten security guards, for grave coercion, and for trespassing on Monday in Barangay Greater Fairview, Quezon City.

The report shows at around 4:30 p.m., September 26, 2022, an official of San Miguel Food personally appeared and reported to QCPD District Director P/Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III regarding their warehouse located in the said barangay in QC that was allegedly occupied by unidentified persons “without any legal authority” and ordered the caretaker to leave.

Torre, together with personnel of Fairview Police Station (PS 5) under P/Lt. Col. Elizabeth Jasmin immediately responded and caught the said trespassers in the area.

Investigation revealed that said suspects were also the same individuals who entered and occupied one of the private properties located at Regalado Ave., Bgy. Greater Fairview.

Seized from the suspects were six shotguns with different serial numbers; 16 pieces of 12 gauge ammunition; security logbooks; security uniforms; and assorted personal belongings of the arrested suspects, including service firearms of the security guards.

The arrested suspects will be charged with grave coercion and trespass violations before the city prosecutor’s office.

Torre said, “We will also file an admin case in Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (SOSIA) para marevoke and kanilang lisensya. Gayunpaman, ginagawa lang po namin ang aming tungkuling ipatupad ang batas ng walang kinikilingan, mayaman man o mahirap. We will not tolerate illegal occupants in private properties,” he added referring to the security agency of the nabbed suspects.
