NATIONAL Housing Authority (NHA) General Manager Joeben Tai approved the release of Certificates of Eligibility for Unit Allocation (CEUA) to 20 family-beneficiaries of the San Martin De Porres (SMDP) Socialized Housing Project in Sitio De Asis, Osorio Compound, Parañaque City on February 17, 2023.

Recipients of the CEUA were informal settler families affected by the infrastructure projects of the local government of Parañaque City.

NHA NCR South Sector Regional Manager Ar. Luis R. Bacamante represented GM Tai in the awarding ceremony with Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez and Parañaque 1st District Representative Edwin Olivarez.

The SMDP housing project is a 1,028-square-meter property owned by the Parañaque City LGU intended for the ISFs living in danger areas and those affected by government infrastructure projects in the locality.

The Parañaque City Government signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the NHA to develop the resettlement site consisting of a 5-storey low-rise building with 60 housing units. Each unit measures 24 sqm.

“Our effort to provide housing assistance for Filipino families is slowly bearing fruit. This event proves our commitment to bringing comfort to our countrymen through the distribution of housing units,” said NHA GM Tai.

He added, “the NHA, under our Build Better and More housing program, will continue to communicate with our local governments, other government agencies, and the private sector so that we can have support in our target of building better and more lots of housing for our fellow Filipinos.”
