PNP-DEG agents nab 2 Nigerians for kush trafficking

AGENTS of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement (PNP-DEG) late Thursday evening arrested two Nigerians a after they allegedly conspired to sell kush, a high-grade marijuana derivative to an undercover officer in Las Piñas City, PNP-DEG director, Brigadier General Narciso D. Domingo said yesterday.

Facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are Nosikec Emenyuno,36; and Prince Ubani,32.

According to the official, members of the PNP-DEG National Capital Region Unit, with the support of members of the Las Piñas City Police Station arrested the duo in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pulang Lupa 10 p.m. Thursday.

Confiscated from the two were a plastic packets containing some three grams of Kush and around 2.8 grams of dried marijuana leaves valued at P8,700.

The suspects also yielded a cellphone they used in making contact with the poseur and several drug paraphernalia.

The recovered drug evidence were turned over to the PNP Forensic Group for examination while the suspects were locked up at the PNP-DEG custodial cell.
