2 minors promised decent jobs end up as KTV workers

ELEMENTS of the Caloocan City police have rescued two minors who were promised decent jobs by a woman child trafficker but were later lured to work in a KTV Bar in Nueva Vizcaya.

Caloocan City police chief P/Col. Samuel Mina said one of the victim’s mother reported to the police about her missing 16-year-old daughter last Thursday, April 7, after the victim failed to go home since last month.

On April 1, 2022, the mother of the victim posted the picture of her missing daughter on her Facebook account until she received a call from concerned citizen on Thursday, April 7, informing her about the whereabouts of her daughter which prompted her to report the incident to the police.

Elements of the Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) in North Caloocan led by P/Lt Nelson Dizon conducted an investigation until they gathered information that the victim was working in a KTV Bar in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya.

Through the direct supervision of Col. Mina, operatives of WCPD conducted a rescue operation, in coordination with Bambang Municipal Police Station chief P/Maj. Frederick Ferrer on Saturday morning, April 9 , in a KTV Bar located in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya.

Operatives, were able to rescue the two minors, both 16, and residents of Barangay 178 and 176 in North Caloocan.
