SHABU worth almost P1 million was seized by police from a woman considered as high value individual (HVI) following a buy-bust Sunday after midnight in Caloocan City.

Elements of the Caloocan Police Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) led by P/Lt. Gilbert Marinas arrested Regina Joan Cruz, 40 after she handed a pack of shabu worth P40,000 to a police poseur-buyer at around 12:10 a.m. in front of her house at Gilmar Place, Brgy. 168 Deparo.

Caloocan police chief P/Col. Samuel Mina said operatives of DEU seized from the suspect more or less 135 grams of shabu with an estimated street value worth P918,000,00 and the marked money consisting of a genuine P1,000 bill and 39 pieces of boodle money.

The operation also resulted in the arrest of Jhunrey Lomonggo, 30, and Christian Salinel, 21, both residents of Freetown St. Vista Verde, North Caybiga who were regular clients of the suspect.

Police seized from Lomonggo and Salinel two plastic sachets containing an undetermined quantity of shabu they purchased from Cruz.

The arrested suspects were presented for inquest proceedings before the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for selling and possession of illegal drugs.
