2 killed in two separate shootings in Batangas
TWO individuals died in separate shooting incidents in Batangas City and Balayan town Wednesday night, February 1, 2023.
Batangas City Police Station Chief P/Lt. Col Dwight F. Fonte said one of the victims was from Barangay Wawa, Batangas City.
Based on the initial investigation, at around 9 p.m., the victim was about to enter their house when the unidentified suspect shot him once on the back of the head using an unknown caliber handgun.
The suspect immediately fled in an unknown direction with the weapon used.
The man was rushed by local residents to Golden Gate Hospital for medical treatment but declared dead on arrival by the attending physician at about 10:20 p.m.
In Balayan town, another victim died on the spot after being shot by an unidentified suspect while sleeping inside his house in Bgy. Magabe, Balayan, Batangas at 8:20 p.m.
Police recovered one piece of fired cartridge casing for cal. 45. at the scene.
