TWO Indian nationals who robbed and shot their compatriot were arrested in a follow-up operation by policemen Tuesday before dawn in Parañaque City.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said suspects, alias “Ricky” and alias “Jimmy” were arrested at around 2:00 a.m. along Alliage Drive, SAVVY 25, Bgy. Marcelo in a vigorous manhunt operation being carried out by operatives of Parañaque police.

Earlier on June 5, an Indian national was robbed at gunpoint by the suspects in Las Piñas City, but when the victim resisted, he was shot by one of the robbers in the lower left back of his body.

The suspects carted away more or less P20,000 cash from the victim on board a black Yamaha motorcycle and fled in an unknown direction.

Joint elements of Las Piñas and Parañaque Police conducted a follow-up operation after reviewing CCTV (closed-circuit television) camera footage.

The CCTV footage showed that the duo was seen traversing along Guyabano and Marcos Alvarez Avenue. Upon reaching Las Piñas Medical Center, the back rider alighted and boarded a taxi.

Parañaque police were able to trace the taxi cab driver, who revealed the place where he brought his Indian national passenger.

Operatives were able to track down the suspects resulting in their arrest.

A black Yamaha motorcycle without a license plate, bonnet, and improvised plate number were recovered from the suspects
