2 held for guns, ammo in Batangas
TWO men were arrested in possession of guns and some ammo on different occasions in the towns of Mabini and San Juan, Batangas on Thursday according to the police report.
In the town of Mabini, the suspect was caught in a restaurant at about 9:15 a.m. on August 11, in Bgy Anilao Proper.
Initial investigation showed that the victim, Reynanta Castillo while eating at Abegail Restaurant when the suspect arrived and confronted the victim and a heated argument erupted that led to a fist fight.
After that, responding police officers arrived and pacified the commotion, and arrested the suspect.
Upon arrest, the police officers spotted that the suspect had an unknown caliber of firearm, a Colt Caliber 45 with serial number 935872 tucked in his waist with an inserted magazine containing five live ammunition.
SAN JUAN town police handcuffed the other gun violator onboard a color blue Suzuki Shogun 125, bearing plate number DI4311 ar around 4;10p.m. on August 11, in Bgy. Tipaz, San Juan, after he was caught in the act of possessing one Cal. 45 pistol, a magazine inserted loaded with seven live bullets, and three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu were also recovered from his possession.
