1 nabbed for cybercrime raps in Ecija

CUYAPO, Nueva Ecija – Local police here launched “Manhunt Charlie” operations and collared a woman in Jaen town facing a cybercrime charges and outstanding arrest warrant.

Town police head Major Jeffrey S. Alivia said his men teamed up with the Regional Cyber-Crime Unit 3 and the Jaen Police under Major Domingo Resma Jr. and effected the suspect’s arrest at her hideout in Barangay Don Mariano Marcos.

The suspect, a resident of Bgy. Malbeng-Patalan here did not resist arrest when police served the warrant issued by the Cabanatuan City Regional Trial Court Branch 28 on October 25, 2022 for violation of Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

Alivia said the court recommended bail of P10,000 for the temporary release of the suspect, who is now locked up in detention here for proper disposition.
