ZAMBALES Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Romano V. Cardiño on Monday announced the arrest of two ‘high-value drug targets’ (HVTs) in the province during separate anti-narcotics operations in the province.

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director, Brigadier General Valeritano T. de Leon, the official identified the suspects as Jhon Rick Habal, a resident of Purok 3-C, Sitio Tahimik in Barangay Calapacuan, Subic town and Jecar Barker, of San Antonio town.

According to Cardiño, the suspect yielded six heat-sealed plastic sachets containing nearly six grams of shabu worth nearly P40,000 and the marked P500 bill paid to him by the poseur during the entrapment operation around 12:45 a.m. Friday.

Members of the Subic Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and the Zambales PPO’s Provincial Mobile Force Company arrested the suspect during the sting supervised by Major San Juan Felmar D. Aquino.

The suspect is now being held at the Subic police lock-up facility and facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said Cardiño.

On the other hand, Barker, tagged as the 5th most wanted drug personality in Zambales was arrested last Friday in his hiding place in Purok 4, Bgy. East Dirita in San Antonio by local policemen led by Lieutenant Mark Almero.

The official said the suspect’s arrest was made on the strength of a warrant for violation of RA 9165 issued by Judge Santiago Beltran of the Iba Regional Trial Court Branch 69.

The suspect is now being held at the San Antonio police jail, said Cardiño
