‘Unica Hija’ earns high ratings after pilot episode
GMA Afternoon Prime’s newest sci-fi family drama Unica Hija never disappoints in consistently delivering heartrending episodes to the Kapuso viewers.
Headlined by some of Sparkle’s most talented and sought-after stars: Kate Valdez as Bianca and Hope, Faith da Silva as Carnation, and Kelvin Miranda as Ralph, the series’ unique concept about human cloning kept the viewers hooked as the weeks went by.
Based on Nielsen TAM overnight ratings last December 20, the show got a whopping 9.6 percent people rating in Urban Phils., which is the highest rating the program has received since it aired last November.
Unica Hija defeated its rival shows Carlo J. Caparas’ Ang Panday (0.6%) and Cine Cinco (0.7%) on TV5, and Ang Sa Iyo ay Akin and Be My Lady (0.7% combined A2Z/Kapamilya Channel people rating each) during the said period.
It’s no surprise that the hit afternoon drama gained continuous success as many viewers can’t get enough of the exciting twists and turns of events in the series.
One of the netizens expressed their anticipation with the upcoming episodes, “Nakaka-tense ang pagkikita nina Ma’am Diane and Hope for the first time. Aabangan ko ito dahil excited na ako.”
Catch the gripping episodes of Unica Hija at 3:25 p.m., Mondays to Fridays, on GMA Afternoon Prime.
