Uncle arrested for rape of niece,14, inside chicken cage
A MAN wanted for serial rape in Zambales is now in jail after being captured by the local police in his hiding place in Sta. Cruz municipality, Zambales Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Romano V. Cardiño said on Sunday.
Suspect Nelson Galorio, a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Lucapon South in Sta. Cruz, Zambales was arrested by members of the Sta. Cruz Municipal Police Station headed by Captain Richard Asis following tips provided by concerned citizens, the official said.
According to Cardiño, the suspect is the subject of warrants of arrest for four counts of rape, rape with child abuse and rape by sexual assault issued by Judge Maribel Mariano-Beltran of the Iba Regional Trial Court Branch 13.
No bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of the accused.
Cardiño said the suspect is wanted for sexually abusing his 14-year old niece on different occasions in July and December 2020 and in January and February this year.
In one of the attacks, the suspect dragged the victim inside a chicken cage near his house and sexually abused her before threatening to kill the young girl if she revealed the incident to anybody.
The Zambales police director said he ordered his men to give special attention to the case to prevent the suspect from attacking more young victims.
The suspect is now being held at the Sta. Cruz police lock-up facility pending the issuance of an official jail commitment order on him.
