SECURITY forces acting on intelligence tips on Thursday seized weapons and explosives being stocked by the New People’s Army in their encampment in Besao, Mountain Province, Cordillera Police Regional Office director Brig. Gen. Ronald Lee said.

According to Lee, members of the Besao Municipal Police Station and the Army’s 69th Infantry Battalion launched an operation in Bgy. Gueday, Besao municipality following an information that local NPA rebels were hiding their armaments in the area.

In a report to Philippine National Police chief Gen. The recovered NPA weapons and other armaments were placed under the custody of the Army’s 69th IB.
