Topnotch lawyer now IBP- Quezon prexy

LUCENA CITY — The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) -Quezon chapter is expected to become more active with the assumption of its new officers headed by a young but bright and dynamic president.

The Board of Officers led by its new president Atty. Vincent Edward Dato, were inducted into office by Executive Judge Dennis Galahad Orendain of the Lucena City Regional Trial Court.

IBP- Southern Luzon Governor Jerwin J. Lopez graced the Biennial Induction and Installation of officers as guest of honor and speaker which was attended by judges, prosecutors, government lawyers and private practitioners.

Dato took up Political Science and graduated cum laude at the Far Eastern University before entering the College of Law at FEU Institute of Law. He plans to elevate the standards of the legal profession by the sponsorship of the chapter of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Seminars, improve the administration of justice by addressing issues raised by the bench and the bar as well as by the other pillars of the justice system and enable the legal profession to discharge its public responsibility more effectively through the conduct of timely and relevant projects and programs.

The 44-year-old lawyer is a son of the late Lucena City chief prosecutor Romeo Dato who once served as IBP- Quezon president, and former City Councilor Salome Dato.

Aside from being a topnotch lawyer, Dato who has been tagged being “small but terrible” by his colleagues in the profession is also a proficient practical shooter and a recipient of various awards.
