‘Thieves’ strike security agency, steel shop; cart away guns, cash
DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – Unidentified suspects entered and robbed a security agency and its adjacent stainless steel supply shop and took away guns and cash Monday, January 23, 2023, at a commercial building along Aguinaldo Highway, Sitio Malinta, Barangay Sampaloc 2 here.
According to the police report, at 1 p.m., suspects entered the security agency and the steel shop.
Based on the statement of the female business owner of the security agency, the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) security noticed that the door of the security firm’s conference rooms was open.
The OIC rushed to the conference room and found the vault opened and empty. Discovered missing were one Armscor shotgun and a Cal. 38 Spl Rock Island pistol.
The adjacent steel supplier also lost an undetermined amount of cash and other valuables.
Based on the initial investigation by probers, the suspects destroyed the side window of a kitchen and went through it.
Authorities are still conducting follow-up operations and gathering CCTV (closed-circuit television) camera footage.
