THE Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine Eagles (TFOE-PE) has appealed to President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. to appoint persons with “proven integrity” to lead constitutional offices like the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG).

TFOE-PE, founded in 1979, is one of the country’s largest fraternal and civic organizations.

It counts among its members the incoming President himself, among other luminaries, across all sectors of society.

The group, in a letter to Marcos, highly recommended Atty. Manuelito Luna, a veteran anti-graft “crusader” under the Duterte administration’s Presidential Anti-corruption Commission (PACC).

“As the incumbent National President of The Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine Eagles (TFOE-PE) and on its behalf, I hereby and humbly endorse Kuya Atty. Manuelito De Los Reyes Luna.

He was the former Presidential Assistant II with the rank of Undersecretary/Commissioner under the Office of the President during the Duterte Administration,” said Eagle Nelson A. Sarapuddin, national president of TFOE-PE.

He pointed out that Luna is suitable for PCGG Chairman or “to any office fit to his high qualification and expertise under your government.”

Sarapuddin also noted that Luna has moderately contributed to the BBM-Sara team as the organizer of two volunteer action centers in Legazpi City and Camarines Sur and was also the political affairs officer of the Parañaque City based “Aviation Volunteers for Marcos 2022”.

The BBM-Sara tandem won by a landslide in Parañaque City and Southern Metro Manila.

For the efforts, Luna and his co-officers were later inducted into the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) at the BBM National Headquarters in Mandaluyong City for being recognized as one of the most “active” parallel groups in Metro Manila.

Reached for his comment, Luna said that he was deeply “honored” by his endorsement as PCGG chair or any other position where he is deemed fit.

“I would be very willing to serve as the ‘graft buster’ of the government if given a chance or in any other capacity that the incoming President may deem best for my qualification,” he said.

He is also being pushed for as commissioner or chairperson of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
