Ternate to host monthlong festivities
TERNATE, Cavite – The local government here under Mayor Lamberto Bambao laid out their month-long activities for the month of December, including the colorful “Mardicas Festival” on December 28, 2022, with this year’s theme “Tara na! Masaya na sa Bayan ng Ternate” (Bini Ya! Allegri ya nah Bahra!).
A Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place at Ternate Town Plaza in Barangay Poblacion and the “State of the Local Address” of the municipal chief executive.
There will be a food bazaar on December 2, “Little Ms. Ternate” on December 3, Parol and costume-making contest on December 10, a Zumba contest for senior citizens on December 17, and “Las Voces de Ternate” singing contest on December 23.
The colorful Mardicas Festival street dancing, boodle fight of local leaders, and on-site cooking competition or “Cusida de Estiones,” representing one entry per barangay will be held on December 28, 2022.
A “Bangka Float” competition on January 5, 2022, in celebration of the town fiesta in honor of Señor Santo Niño with the theme: “Karakol sa Dagat,” or the float festival.
