Teenager drowns in Bulacan river

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy on Thursday drowned while swimming in a river in Sta. Maria , Bulacan.

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Sta. Maria police identified the victim as Raymart Antid, a student residing at B9, L4, Harmony Hills 3, Bgy. Loma De Gato, Marilao, Bulacan.

Police were told that the victim and his two other minor friends decided to go to the Santa Maria river to swim.

However, the victim accidentally went into the deep part of the river, causing him to drown.

Antid’s friends reported the incident to the officers of Bgy. San Jose Patag, who sought the help of the Santa Maria rescue team, the Santa Maria police, and the Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office to rescue the victim but to no avail.

The boy’s body was later found and was brought to the local funeral home in Bgy. Loma de Gato, Marilao, Bulacan.
