Caraga cops arrest 12 wanted men
TWELVE wanted men were arrested by agents of the Police Regional Office 13 in separate anti-criminality operations in the region this week, PRO13 director Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft said yesterday.
The official said that one of the suspects identified as Cleo Daniel Carbonilla was arrested just hours after he forcibly entered the house of his neighbor in Bgy. Rizal in Surigao City and stole valuables.
A follow-up operation conducted by members of the Surigao City Police Station led to the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of some of the stolen items, including an amplifier and a seven-plate battery owned by the complainant identified as Fe Macarang, the PRO13 director said.
The suspect is facing charges for robbery with force upon things.
The 11 other suspects were all wanted for various criminal offenses.
Two of the suspects, Ian Mataas, 29; and Junar Betco, 37, were wanted for women and child abuse.
The rest were wanted for either slight physical injuries, violation of city/municipal ordinances and falsification of public document, said Brig. Gen. Kraft.
