TWO “high-value individuals” (HVI) drug suspects and three others yielded more than P.3 million worth of shabu in a police drug sting operation Tuesday before dawn in Taguig City.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director Police Brigadier Gen. Kirby John Kraft said the arrest of the suspect with the alias “Kekek”, 32, and alias “Kino”, 32, both listed as HVI drug pushers and three “customers,” also resulted in the dismantling of a drug den in Barangay Calzada in Taguig, being maintained by “Kekek.”

In his report to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director P/Major Gen. Jonnel Estomo, Kraft said joint operatives of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), District Intelligence Division (DID), District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) and District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) initiated the buy-bust operation at around 1:30 a.m. that led to the arrest of the suspects inside the drug den along Bangbang in Felix St. in Bgy. Calzada.

More or less, 50.9 grams of suspected shabu placed in nine plastic sachets valued at P340,000 and P500 marked money were seized by authorities from the suspects.

Estomo lauded the police officers of SPD who are responsible for arresting the drug suspects and dismantling the drug den.

“Binabati ko po ang Southern Police District sa isinagawang operasyon kontra sa ilegal na droga pati na sa paghuli sa mga suspek at pagbuwag sa drug den na ginagamit bilang kuta ng mga sugapa sa droga. Isa itong patunay na hindi tumitigil ang kapulisan sa pagtunton at pagdakip sa mga taong sangkot sa pagpapakalat ng bawal na gamot,” Estomo said in statement.

Kraft said the suspects will be facing charges of violation of Sections 5, 6, and 13, Art. II of RA (Republic Act) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
