AUTHORITIES arrested a member of the “Sputnik Gang” after he stabbed and seriously wounded his fellow jeepney barker following their heated altercation Sunday afternoon in Pasay City.

Rolando Reaño, 44, barker, was arrested by operatives of Pasay Police Sub-Station-4 after he stabbed and wounded Lorenzo Sadava, 26, during their heated altercation at the corner of EDSA and Zamora Street, Bgy. 98, Zone 14, Pasay City, at around 5:00 in the afternoon.

Report reaching the office of Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg showed that while Reaño and Sadava were having fun while calling for passengers in a jeepney terminal, the victim allegedly uttered unwanted remarks directed toward the suspect, which offended the latter resulting in their heated argument.

At the height of their altercation, the suspect pulled out an ice pick, stabbed the victim twice in the abdomen, and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Sadava was rushed to San Juan De Dios Hospital, where he was placed under observation after treatment of stab wounds, while the suspect was arrested in a follow-up operation conducted by elements of Pasay Police Sub-Station 4.
