‘Sharp’ voters know their candidates – Isko
AKSYON Demokratiko presidential bet and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said it is not his style to ask leaders or endorsers to commit the votes of those falling under their jurisdiction.
Moreno said that while he highly appreciates endorsements and support from leaders both national and local, he considers as a great “insult” to the electorate for anyone to promise to give their votes to a certain candidate.
“I want a good sum of numbers, ‘yung boto ng tao, pero ‘yung ipapangako ng isang tao ‘yung kanyang mamamayan na daan-daang libo o milyong boto, I don’t ask leaders or endorsers to promise.. it’s a great insult to voters,” said Moreno.
He added: “Ang gusto ko, suyuin ang mga tao, kausapin sila, dumiretso sa kanila tapos added bonus na lang kung may endorsement. It would be a very good bonus.”
Moreno said that all voters have the right to choose who they would like to lead the country in the next 6 years.
