WHO will be the next Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 champions?

This will be kown when the grand finals of the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 take place on January 13-14 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.

Twenty-six teams from across the Asia Pacific region will compete for the highly-coveted Predator Shield.

To secure this prestigious award, teams must showcase their mastery in either of the acclaimed game titles, Dota 2 or VALORANT.

The Asia Pacific Predator League serves as the breeding ground for emerging esports talents. Each season, thousands of teams from the region enthusiastically register for an opportunity to realize their dream of clinching victory on the grandest stage.

Marlon Marcelo, the executive director of the Philippine Esports Organization, emphasizes the necessity of a learning curve to enhance the Philippine esports scene. This, he believes, is crucial for the Sibol program to maintain its leading position in the industry.

“The setbacks are also part of a learning curve wherein we actually engage with different countries na mas malakas yung esports program,” Marcelo said during the Predator League launch Thursday night at the Whitespace in Makati.

Marcelo further asserts that increased participation in esports events will contribute to building the necessary team chemistry, positioning them as potential championship contenders in the future.

This becomes particularly significant with the upcoming 2026 Asian Games on the horizon.

“More tournaments, more chances of us getting scrimmages and getting competitive as we move forward to the next phase of the journey, which is making sure that in the next Asian Games in Japan, lalaban na yang mga teams natin kasi mas ready na tayo,” he added.

Since 2018, Predator has consistently provided this platform, actively supporting and promoting the growth of the esports industry.

“We are thrilled to announce that the Philippines is the host country of the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals. This event further cements our dedication to providing a stage for esports excellence in the Philippines and APAC,” said Manuel Wong, Managing Director at Acer Philippines.

“We strive to create a memorable experience for our passionate esports community as our way of thanking them for continuously supporting Predator,” said Manuel Wong, Managing Director at Acer Philippines,” he added.

A total prize pool of $200,000 is up for grabs across the two tournaments.

The champions of both Dota 2 and VALORANT will be awarded $65,000 each. Second-place finishers will secure $20,000, and third and fourth place will get $7,500 each.
