Rented jeep turns turtle, 16 passengers rushed to hospital
NAIC, Cavite — A 20-seater passenger jeep turned turtle while travesing Banana Road, Brgy. Malainen Luma as it headed towards Banaba, Indang east at 4:30 in the afternoon last Sunday.
The public utilitiy jeepney (DXB 693) driven by Arselito Oliver with 16 passengers on board came from a private resort in Indang, Cavite and accidentally hit a concrete gutter.
The driver lost control of the steering wheel sending the vehicle to tirn turtle.
Officer-on-case Patrolman John Arlan R Quimilat, of the Naic Municipal Police Station, identified the driver as Aserlito Oliver, 51, male, and a resident of Barangay Halayhay Indang.
The passengers were identified as Rennier Peter Tibayan, 16; Harvey Quipia Paredes, 16; Precious Ann Melecio Escueta, 9; Justine Manlapas Roxas, 18; Eloisa Bachicha Gabiana, 15; Masa Gibbaga Quipia, 15; Russel Khen Babis Secales,10; Matt Steven Melecio Ereveta, 11; Deah Quipia Paredes, 13; Jose Marideth Balois Segales, 6; Claide Quipia Pragades, 3; Ellen Clams Placcamio Pintoy, 13; Prince Kyle Castro Pabatang, 13; Angel Cervanez Tomenio 14, all of Brgy Aguado Trece Martires City; Justine Roxas, 17, of Brgy Banaba, Indang Cavite and Erli Ersando, 45, of Brgy. Alulod Indang Cavite.
The victims were rushed to nearest hospital for by Naic MDRRMO.
Dra. Mitushela Rieta of the San Lorenzo Medical Hospital said all the passengers sustained minor injuries.
