SARIAYA, Quezon — Police solved in 24 hours the murder of a female resort caretaker following the arrest of the suspect on Sunday in Lucban, Quezon.

Quezon police director Col. Ledon Monte identified the nabbed suspect as Rvjoy Flores Paderon alias “Tek,” 24, a tricycle driver and a resident of Bgy.4, Lucban, Quezon.

Monte said Paderon was arrested in a follow – up operation led by Lt. Col. Rommel Sobrido, the town police commander.

Victim Aiza Magboo, 34, married and caretaker of Beneraza Resort, was resting in a nipa hut at the beach resort in Bgy. Guis- Guis Talon at around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday when she was approached and repeatedly shot by one of two unidentified male suspects.

The victim suffered multiple bullet wounds and died instantly.

According to Sobrido, initial investigation showed that the victim’s husband was the real target of the suspects but could not find him.

Sobrido said Paderon is among the remnants of the dreaded Paderon Group engaged in different criminal activities in the province.

Police records show that the group was dismantled following the arrest of its wanted leader, Warren Paderon, the suspect’s elder brother, during a drug buy-bust in Lucena City last January.

He yielded 4.1 grams of shabu with a street value of P83, 640, and the marked money.

His other brother and group member was arrested in a separate drug bust operation in this town.
