OPERATIVES of Holy Spirit Police Station (PS) 14 arrested three suspects for allegedly “molesting” two minors in separate operations.

First arrested were two suspects aged 24 and 28 for allegedly “raping” a minor victim.

Based on the initial report, the victim received a phone call from one of the suspects telling her “Bukas magkita-kita tayo sa may garahe ng kotse, kapag hindi ka sumipot papatayin ko ang pamilya mo.”

For fear of her life, the victim went to Pingkian 1, Central, Barangay Pasong Tamo, at 11:40 a.m., June 5, 2023.

Upon arrival at the place, she was told to “ride a car” waiting for her. The two suspects were reportedly inside the said vehicle.

Moments later, one of the suspects gave her a glass of water and told her to drink it, and she felt dizzy and weak after drinking it. In that instance, both suspects reportedly rape her.

On June 6, 2023, the victim informed her mother regarding the incident and immediately reported it to PS-14. The operatives proceeded to the suspects’ residence and immediately placed them under arrest.

On the other hand, the same operatives arrested a 17-year-old male at 2:30 a.m. on June 7, 2023, in his residence.

The suspect allegedly had a “relationship” with a 12-year-old victim and “abused” the latter at his residence by forcibly kissing and hugging her on the evening of June 5, 2023.

The victim sought the assistance of the same operatives, who immediately conducted a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of the said minor.

The suspects will be charged for violation of RA (Republic Act) 11648 or An Act Providing for Stronger Protection Against Rape and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, Increasing the Age for Determining the Commission of Statutory Rape in relation to violation of RA 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director PBGen. Nicolas D. Torre III lauded the police officers and said, “I would like to commend the personnel of PS-14 for their quick response, which resulted in the arrest of the suspects. Rest assured that the offenders will be held accountable for the crime they committed.”
