Police wanted for ‘rape’ yields to Silang cops
SILANG, Cavite – An active police officer voluntarily surrendered himself after an arrest warrant was issued against him for a rape case Thursday afternoon, January 26, 2023.
The suspect, of Barangay Pasong Langka, Silang, yielded at the Silang Police Station under the office of Police Lieutenant Col. Romulo Dela Rea, local police chief here.
The police non-commissioned officer of the Philippine National Police (PNP) will be facing rape charges with no bail recommended.
In a report gathered from the office of Cavite Provincial Director P/Col. Christopher Olazo, the arrest warrant was issued by Judge Minelli S. Rocio-Carvajal of RTC (Regional Trial Court) Branch 18 Tagaytay City, Cavite.
The suspect also turned over his Glock 17 service firearm, badge, and PNP-issued ID.
