PNP Aviation Group officer killed in Tarlac

CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Central Luzon police regional director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon has ordered the Tarlac police to conduct a thorough investigation into the ambush of a member of the PNP Aviation Group in Capas.

In a report to De Leon, PSsg. Michael Maun, assigned at the PNP Aviation Group based at Clark, Pampanga and resident of Bgy. Cristo Rey, Capas, Tarlac, was driving a black Toyota Altis when another vehicle overtook him and blocked the road in Bgy. Cristo Rey.

Two still unidentified men alighted from the vehicle and fired shots at Maun then sped off.

Maun was declared dead on arrival at the Ospital Ng Capas.

Police are now looking into the CCTV footage of the incident for the identification and arrest of the suspects.

The killers abandoned their vehicle, a black Toyota Vios, in Sitio Baloy, Bgy. Arangonen, Capas.

“We will exert all our efforts and look into the bottom of this.We continue to solicit the support of the general public in order to maintain peace and order, safety and security of our communities,” De Leon said.
