Brothers suffocate to death
In La Union, two brothers on Saturday suffocated to death while attempting to clean a 66-feet deep well in Bacnotan town.
Police identified the victims as Freddie Espiloy, 42, and his elder brother Federico, 48, both residents of Bgy. Lisqueb in Bacnotan.
An investigation showed that Freddie was the first to go down to clean the well. He later called for help for he was having difficulty in breathing.
His elder brother tried to rescue him but Federico also gasped for breath upon reaching the bottom of the well.
Rescuers retrieved the bodies of the Espiloy brothers.
