PDEG cops nab drug suspect
A suspected big-time drug trafficker in Metro Manila was arrested by agents of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) Sunday after he sold shabu to an undercover officer in Sampaloc, Manila, PDEG director Brigadier General Eliseo P. Matta said.
Suspect Edilberto San Juan, 37, yielded 50 grams of shabu valued at P340,000 during the sting in Brgy. 401, Sampaloc 12:10 a.m. Sunday.
The suspect, who is now being held at the PDEG-NCR lock-up facility, will be facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
