PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Saturday said his administration is looking for the long-term rehabilitation of Oriental Mindoro particularly by providing its residents with new sources of income and livelihood.

Kaya’t nagpaplano kami, ‘yung mga livelihood na pwedeng dalhin at pwedeng buhayin,” President Marcos said during the distribution of various government assistance in Pola town.

President Marcos said the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) are among the lead agencies providing aid, livelihood assistance, as well as seed money and training for owners of small businesses.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), has many plans for the province under its recovery initiatives, the chief executive said.
