P300K shabu seized, ‘Tomboy’ arrested in Ecija drug bust
SAN ISIDRO, Nueva Ecija – A woman tagged as a suspected drug personality was nabbed following the seizure of illegal drugs worth less than P300,000 during a buy-bust here on Saturday afternoon
Major Jayson Dela Cruz, acting town police head, identified the arrested suspect as Lorena Cebuano, 28, alias Tomboy, of Bgy. Mabini Extension, Cabanatuan City.
Her arrest was effected by joint members of the local police and the provincial intelligence unit during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Poblacion at 1:40 p.m. here.
Dela Cruz said the woman sold two plastic sachets of shabu to an undercover operative resulting to her arrest.
Seized from the suspect were nine plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated weight of 55 grams and worth about P266,750. Also confiscated were the P500 marked money and the P23,500-boodle money used in the sting operation.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 are being readied for filing against the suspect before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
