P1M shabu seized, 15 druggies nabbed in QC

ANTI-NARCOTICS members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) confiscated P1,074,400 worth of shabu from 15 drug suspects including a Regional Priority Target in a series of buy-busts in Quezon City.

PLt. Col. Joewie Lucas, Fairview Police Station (PS 5) commander, identified the suspects as Enrique Zamora, 58, listed as Regional Level Drug Personality, and Mhon Julio, 34, both residents of Tendido St., Brgy. San Jose, Quezon City. He was arrested at about 5 p.m. of December 7, 2021 along Camaro St., Brgy. Greater Fairview, Quezon City.

Confiscated from the suspects were more or less 100 grams of shabu valued at P680,000, a blue Rusi motorcycle, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

A report further shows that upon verification of the suspects, it was revealed that Zamora has a pending warrant of arrest for violation of Section 261 of the Omnibus Election Code with Criminal Case No. R-PSY-18-16854-CR issued by Judge Francisco G Mendiola, of Branch 115, RTC, Pasay City, with bail set at P36,000.

The same was served upon him at about 10 p.m. of December 7, 2021 at the PS 5 custodial facility.

Meanwhile, five other drug suspects were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by operatives of District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU).

PMAJ Wennie Ann Cale, DDEU chief, identified the suspects in the first buy-bust operation as Alex Pobletin, 28; Czandor Nickhol James, 21 and Joseph Dela Cruz, 21, all residents of Matias St., Brgy. Paltok, Quezon City.

They were arrested at about 7 a.m. of December 8, 2021, inside a house on 7 Matias St., Brgy. Paltok, Quezon City and confiscated from them were more or less 20 grams of shabu valued at P136,000, two cellular phones, and the buy-bust money.

The DDEU also arrested Bryan Cruz, and Zheena Adane, at about 11:40 a.m. of December 8, 2021, in front of 124 Ilocos Sur St., Brgy. Ramon Magsaysay, Quezon City. Seized from the suspects were more or less 18 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P122,400, cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

The Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14) led by PLt. Col. Jeffrey Bilaro, arrested in a buy-bust operation Jose Aldren Celoza, 43, resident of Nawasa Line, Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City; Reymark Remoroza, 25, resident of Lower St., Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City; and Alvin Alcantara, 39, resident of C. Name, Brgy. 39, Caloocan City, at about 8 p.m. December 7, 2021 at Area 7, Nawasa Line, Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City. Confiscated from the suspects were nine sachets of shabu amounting to P68,000 and the buy-bust money.

The Galas Police Station (PS 11) under PLTCOL Von June Nuyda also conducted a buy-bust operation at about 4 a.m. of December 8, 2021, along Cuatro De Julio St., Brgy San Isidro, Quezon City which resulted in the arrest of Dawn Calanno, 41, a resident of Labo St., Brgy. San Isidro Labrador, Quezon City; Marilou Lopez, 36, a resident of Domingo Santiago St. Brgy. 576, Sampaloc, Manila; Patricia Dimacali, 24, a resident of Visayas Ave., Brgy. San Isidro, Quezon City; Rominick Fugaban, 33, a resident of Brgy. Damayang Lagi, Quezon City; and Simoun Riel Aljibe, 29, a resident of Brgy. Sto. Niño, Galas, Quezon City.

Confiscated were more or less 10 grams of shabu amounting to P68,000, a Toyota Avanza, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
