Manila administers nearly 3M COVID-19 vax doses
THE number of vaccine doses administered by the city government of Manila is nearing the three million mark.
This was announced by Manila Mayor and Aksyon Demokratiko presidential bet Isko Moreno, adding that for the second straight day, COVID-19 cases in the city had been below the 100 mark.
Citing a report from Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna who is on top of the Manila city’s mass vaccination program along with Manila Health Department chief Dr. Poks Pangan, the mayor said active COVID cases in the city was at 96 on December 7.
A day prior, or on December 6, the number of active cases was at only 91, with no death recorded on both dates.
Meanwhile, Lacuna reported to the mayor that the total vaccine doses given has already reached 2,919,399 to date.
The total administered doses for minors is at 164,743 and of the number, 57,884 are now fully vaccinated.
In the case of booster shots, 56,552 have so far been jabbed with their preferred vaccine brands.

Congrats sa ating vaccinating teams!” Moreno said as he lauded those behind the mass vaccination for their swift efforts in deploying the vaccines.
