P.6M shabu seized in Lucena sting
LUCENA CITY — City police operatives on Saturday arrested two alleged big-time pushers and seized around P.6 million worth of illegal drugs at Purok Riverside Itaas, Bgy. Ibabang Dupay in this city.
Quezon police director, Col. Ericson Dilag said the arrested suspects, Philenjun Vadal Badal, 37, of Bgy. Ibabang Dupay, and Ajan Demillo Paksiw, 26, of BF Homes, Parañaque City, did not resist when collared by operatives of Lucena City police station during a drug buy bust.
City police chief, Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea said Vadal was previously arrested by his men over drug charges while Demillo is a newly identified drug personality.
During the buy bust, Albacea said the suspects yielded 11 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 32 grams of shabu with street value of P652,800 and a marked P500 bill.
The suspects were detained at the city lock- up jail and were charged with violations of Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
Albacea said the cooperation of the community contributed to the arrest of the suspects and confiscation of illegal drugs.
Dilag, for his part, hailed the city police force’s intensified and relentless anti-illegal drug campaign and asked other police stations in the province to do the same.
