CABANATUAN CITY — A woman engaged in the online selling business was nabbed along with another cohort during a buy-bust operation which resulted in the seizure of less than half-a-million pesos worth of shabu on Thursday night here.

City police head Lt. Col. Barnard Danie V. Dasugo identified those arrested as Asnira Million, 39, Muslim, online seller, of Sitio Malabon, Bgy. San Juan, Taytay, Rizal and her contact person Racquel Razon, 40, jobless, of Purok Ramon Magsaysay, Bgy. Pinagpanaan, Talavera, Nueva Ecija.

Seized from the duo were several plastic sachets containing shabu having a total weight of 65.28 grams valued at P443,904.

Dasugo said the successful operation was conducted in Purok Amihan, Bgy. Barrera at 9 p.m.

Dasugo said Million, who brought the drugs here from Taytay, will also be investigated to determine whether she is also involved in the illicit online selling of shabu.

Further probe also showed that the two suspects were previously arrested for illegal drugs but were separately released from detention after working out a plea bargain arrangement with the courts.

“Parehas po iyan dalawang suspect, dati nang may kaso sa drugs, nakapag-plea bargain, si Million sa Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro noong 2015, si Razon dito sa Cabanatuan nong 2017,” Dasugo texted the Journal Group Friday.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 were slapped against the two arrested suspects.
